ZeScreenRuler: A handy tool for Bubble Witch Saga and any other bubble game

Hi, I’d like to introduce you to a program that has helped me a great deal in Bubble Witch Saga. I hope you’ll find it as useful. ZeScreenRuler can help you improve your scores in any bubble game. It is just like a ruler that you place on your screen.
Those of you who play bubble games probably know this situation: a tricky shot that needs to bounce off the wall to hit the right bubble is hard to place perfectly and you don’t want to break your streak or waste bubbles. Here ZeScreenRuler comes in and helps you in two ways: it shows you just where your bubble will hit when it has reflected off the wall and it has a function to slow down your mouse for placing a tricky shot. You only need to press „control“ on your keyboard while aiming. After you release CTRL, your mouse goes back to its normal speed. ZeScreenRuler saves you from buying expensive power-ups like the charm of precision or paying for boosts to improve your aim.
All you need to do to install ZeScreenRuler is going to http://www.walthelm.net/ZeScreenRuler/en/ and select the program. Here you can find the download link for ZeScreenRuler, a nifty tool whenever you need an onscreen ruler for your computer. It works on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. After downloading the small program, simply move it to your windows programs folder and start it by double clicking. You can make your own choices for the shortcut that will activate ZeScreenRuler or just leave the default settings. Here NumLock will activate the ruler, turn it off again when you don’t need it and return you to the settings page while ZeScreenRuler is running, in case you want to change something. You can also choose to load ZeScreenRuler automatically whenever your computer starts or turn it to manual start-up. In the display options you can make additional choices to suit your needs. I usually use the default settings. Here pressing the shift key allows you to move the starting point of ZeScreenRuler to the middle of the bubble you’re going to shoot to start your measurements. 😉 In order to make it easier to find the center exactly, there are two vertical lines left and right. You can move them to the edges of your game screen and check whether those are equally far apart. To make your shot it makes sense to align them with the center of the furthest bubbles on the game screen, if there are any. This is the spot where your bubble will reflect. Now you can use ZeScreenRuler to make better decisions whether your bubble even has the chance to reach the spot you have in mind for it and make tricky shots more easily.
ZeScreenruler has helped me improve my scores on a number of bubble games, just give it a try. It’s freeware, quick and easy to install and handle. If you like the program, any donations and feedback are welcome. I can really recommend it.

I was not sponsored or influenced by companies who created the games but stated my honest opinions and created my own texts and videos here. I'm going to publish a few graphic short stories that have been in my head for a few months now. I hope I can get them to come out and show themselves. ;-)

Is there anything like this software for Linux Mint 15 users? Thanks.

Sorry it took me so long to catch this one, there haven’t been any real comments on this for over a year before yours so I seem to have become very slow to check for them.
The program was written for windows only and does not run on Linux as far as I’m aware. Since I don’t have Linux, I couldn’t test software for it. Sorry I can’t help you with this.

  2. Are there any commercials in the download of this program or when running this program? If not, why is it free?

Sorry, it took me some time to see this. No, there aren’t. It is free, because the author of the program believes in voluntary donations instead of adds. Just try it out. 😉

Troubleshooting-hint: if the center of ZeScreenRuler is outside of your visible screen, you might experience some trouble aligning the ruler with your aim. For example, if the center is below your screen, simply hold down the shift key and pull your mouse upwards. Repeat if necessary. Always place the starting point of your measurements into the exact center of the bubble you’re shooting for best results.
